Currently, the Vehicle Processing Centers (VPCs) are not equipped to handle any commercial vehicles. To ensure convenience for our clients, we offer trucking services across the U.S. and Europe. In most cases, we can pick up and deliver your car to your home at an extra cost. If you’re interested in this option, don’t hesitate to contact us.

You can expect to incur various destination fees, including customs clearance, terminal charges, and a local agent handling fee. The fees often vary with each destination. We can provide you with exact fees to expect upon request prior to your shipment.

Your Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) exterior must be thoroughly cleaned to get rid of all dirt. The interior should also be vacuumed and only factory-installed items left in the POV.

We don’t provide an online tracking system for shipped vehicles. However, you can head a tracking website to track the status of your shipment – enter the name of the vessel that your vehicle is on (we provide this) and you can easily see where the vessel is in real-time. You can also contact our offices in the U.S. and Europe directly (depending on which one you booked your shipment with) or simply send us a quick email requesting a shipment status update. Simply provide us with your name, destination if available, and the order number.

Typically, the transit time may vary from 20-30 days depending on vessel availability and destination.

Ports and Customs Officials require us to act on your behalf. Your Power of Attorney is what enables us our Trans Global representatives to complete the import and export process.

While we work with some of the best quality providers to ensure proper care of your vehicle in transit, nobody can guarantee this. However, to ensure your peace of mind, we offer all-risk Marine insurance cover in the event your vehicle is damaged during transit. You should be aware that steamship lines are only liable for up to $500 in damages regardless of the amount of damage that may be caused. That’s why we recommend having Marine insurance coverage. This cover may already be included in some vehicle insurance policies. Confirm with your insurance provider to check if you’re already covered.

At this time, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accommodate the shipment of EVs due to current restrictions from many ocean carriers. We do have limited options for Hybrids so depending on the destination, we may not be able to offer service. The primary issue that ocean carriers face with electric and hybrid vehicles stems from safety concerns related to the batteries. These concerns include the risk of fire and the complexity of managing such incidents on board, which have led many carriers to pause the acceptance of these vehicles temporarily. We are actively monitoring the situation and working with industry partners to find viable solutions that ensure the safety of all shipments. Please reach out to our sales team at sales@tgal.us for additional information.
