International boat shipping can be a logistically and legally complicated process. We recommend you begin the process 30 days in advance of the shipping date so you have enough time to prepare the boat and gather all the required legal documents.
We recommend hulls be free of debris and barnacles and interiors thoroughly cleaned to avoid being quarantined on arrival at destination. Most countries are strict biosecurity measures to prevent biohazard from entering the country.
You must remove all personal items and belongings from the boat before transportation. Only factory-installed parts and items should remain inside the vessel for international boat shipping.
According to US transportation laws, your boat’s tank must be at or less than a quarter full during shipment. Empty your fuel tank to at most one-fourth full before handing it over to the carrier.
Trans Global works with world-class international boat shipping companies to deliver safe and quality transportation services to our clients. Even with top-notch logistics services, no one can fully guarantee that your vessel will be safe from damage during transport. We do, however, offer all-risk marine insurance that provides full coverage if vessels are damaged during international boat shipping.
Many factors, including your location within the US, transit time and customs clearance can influence the delivery duration of your boat to the UK. In general, the entire shipping process can last between 30 – 45 days from the US East Coast and 45 – 60 days from the US West Coast until you receive your boat in the UK.
