It’s the dream of many motorcycle owners to explore the mountain roads and verdant fields of Europe, or take their bikes out on the open road in a land they’ve never visited before. The only problem with this is that if you want to take your motorcycle overseas, you can’t ride there. That’s why, when you need to ship your motorcycle to Europe or anywhere else overseas, you want to be sure that you choose an international motorcycle shipping specialist that will get your bike to its destination and treat it with the respect it deserves.
Fortunately, whether you have motorcycles, dirt bikes, mopeds, ATVs or any other off-road vehicle, Trans Global Auto Logistics can get your ride to its destination on time and at a price that fits your budget. Shipping Your Motorcycle Ro-Ro
RoRo is short for “roll on” “roll off” and it is exactly what it sounds like. Your motorcycle is rolled onto the vessel for shipment and rolled off upon arrival at its destination. Motorcycles traveling RoRo are secured, in dry under deck compartments unexposed to the elements. Depending on your port of departure and port of arrival, RoRo is often the quickest and least expensive route to get your motorcycle overseas.
Shipping Your Motorcycle Via Container
Securing bikes is one of the most important steps when shipping your motorcycle overseas. This is why we load all of our motorcycles in house using only professional trained packers. Every motorcycle is different so a customized shipping cradle is built to the exact specifications of YOUR bike. Our packers only use certified wood and each bike is individually strapped for security. As an NVOCC, when possible Trans Global can consolidate your shipment to lower your cost.
Transit Time: 14 to 45 days depending on port of departure and port of arrival
Motorcycle Shipping via Air Freight
When air freighting your motorcycle, all bikes must be crated. If you don’t already have a crate you can usually order a crate from a dealer, buy one on-line or let Trans Global secure one for you. Additional documents are needed when shipping air freight. The most important of these documents is the SLI form. The cost of shipping your motorcycle using air freight is more expensive than other options but depending on your situation the shorter transit time may be worth the cost.
